Dr. Robert Okiyi, is the Managing Director of Aella Microfinance Bank, a subsidiary of the Aella Group – a technology-driven institution advancing access to credit and digital financial services across Africa. He leads the bank’s strategic transformation, driving innovation in both private & public-sector lending, deposit mobilization, and digital operations to deliver inclusive financial solutions that empower individuals and businesses.
A passionate advocate for financial inclusion, education, and institutional excellence, Dr. Okiyi also lectures at the university level and serves as a mentor to Executive Master’s students at the Rome Business School. He holds advanced degrees including an MBA, MSc in Data Science, a Master’s in Data Analytics, and a Doctorate in Financial Management. A Fellow of the National Institute of Credit Administration (NICA), chartered, and a volunteer Executive Director of the AODI Foundation, he continues to champion impact, knowledge sharing, and youth empowerment across sectors of the economy.
