The National Institute of Credit Administration (NICA), chartered plans to open a Diaspora Members Representative Committee (DMRC) in the U.S., UK, and Canada to engage with its diaspora members and promote credit management best practices.
This initiative aims to keep NICA’s diaspora members informed about social and economic development initiatives and involve them in policymaking processes, enhance the role of NICA in advocating for diaspora members’ interests across governments, encourage the transfer of knowledge and expertise between diaspora members and NICA, promote and advocate for best practices in credit management among diaspora members, and contribute to the economic development of Nigeria through effective credit management.
Ultimately, this novel initiative will expand NICA’s global presence and influence, engage with Nigerian diaspora members in the U.S., UK, and Canada, and facilitate knowledge sharing and expertise transfer between diaspora members and NICA. By establishing DMRCs in these countries, NICA is leveraging the expertise and resources of its diaspora members to promote credit management best practices and support economic development.
